WHAT WE BELIEVE At the Water’s Edge, we believe that EVERYONE :: Is broken: we come with our whole selves, the good, the bad and the ugly. We’re full of doubt, mistakes, selfishness, addictions, questions, and hope – for we believe that in God there is healing. :: Is valuable: we all have been gifted by God and have a purpose in this world to reach out in love. As a body of believers we will strive to find a way for every person’s great passion to meet the world’s great need. :: Is searching: we are on a journey of faith, looking for answers, meaning and purpose. We will take some steps together as a group in worship, some steps will happen in the intimacy of a small group, still other steps can only be made on our own. We are committed to the journey. :: Is forgiven: we are all in need of second chances, and we are claiming God’s promise of unconditional love. This is a community that will be forgiving and will overflow with grace and acceptance for the hurting. :: Is welcome: we each come in our own skin, comfortable in our own clothes, without needing to change to find connection, or to wear a mask to feel we belong. To join us you need only be yourself, ready to encounter a loving God and His children. Everyone matters to God at the Water’s Edge. He longs for us to begin a personal relationship with him. He sent his Son and the Spirit so that relationship could be made possible. He loves us just as we are, AND He loves us too much to leave us that way.
